We all have moments in our lives when we feel like we're struggling. I know I do. It could be difficulties at work, problems in relationships, or simply feeling lost and uncertain about the future. During these times, it's easy to feel like giving up or losing hope. But it's important to remember that God is always with us, and He's promised to never leave nor forsake us.
One of the most comforting verses in the Bible comes from Matthew 11:28-30, where Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." How comforting is that? Can't you just feel yourself relax and breathe a sigh of peace?
When we feel like we're struggling, we can turn to Jesus and find rest and comfort in Him. We don't have to carry our worries, messes and hardships alone. He's always there to help us and guide us through our struggles. All we have to do is come to Him and trust in His love and grace. He wants us to knock on his door at midnight and come in.
Another important passage to remember during times of struggle is Philippians 4:6-7, which says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
It's easier said than done to not be anxious about anything. I know this from experience — I bet you do, too. When we feel like we're struggling, it's easy to become anxious and worried about the future. But through prayer and thanksgiving, we can present our requests to God and find peace in His presence. He promises that His peace will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.
So if you're feeling like you're struggling today, remember that you're not alone. God is with you, and He's promised to help you through your difficulties. Turn to Him in prayer, and trust in His love and grace. He'll give you the strength and encouragement you need to overcome any obstacle.
