I Want Jesus More Than I Want My Healing by Shari A. Miller originally posted November 8, 2017

I want Jesus more than I want my healing.
It's taken me a while to get to this point, to say that statement and have 100% truth ring out from it.
This week singer Natalie Grant posted a very powerful quote on her Instagram account, she said,
We are to love God with all that we are. In every area of our lives we are to completely surrender our all to Him and love Him with every fiber of our beings.

Help me want the Healer
more than the healing
Help me want the Savior
more than the saving
Help me want the Giver
more than the giving
Help me want you
Jesus
more than anything.

Isn't that one of the most beautiful things that you've every read? I can say with all certainty that is what I want.
God's Word says that we are to,
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'"
- Matthew 22:37
"Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." - Matthew 10:37
He also states that nothing can get in the way of our love for him.
NOTHING.
Not our husbands, not our children, not other family members, not our things, not sports, not our money, not our homes, not our cars. Absolutely, nothing.
God's been speaking to me this week and He said, "How bad do you really want me? Do you want me more than being healed of metastatic breast cancer?" After a moment of thought, my answer was, "Oh yes Lord, absolutely!"
I've gone though a lot in this world. A lot that most people will never know about. It's these hardships that have taught me a very important lesson. Friends will fail me, family will fail me, things of the world will fail me. but there is one person who I know who will never fail me, and that is the Lord.
Through it all I've grown to realize that Jesus is the only thing that matters. There is nothing that matters more than Him. More than anything in the world it's Him that I want.
What about you friends? Are you at that point where you can say that nothing matters more than Him? Do you need to reorganize your priorities so that this statement is true for you too? I promise you that you won't regret it. He is the only one that will truly satisfy.
