Before you woke up this morning, your day was planned. I am not talking about your daily planner or appointments. I am not talking about your agenda. I am talking about God's plans. God, the author of time, created this day for you. He gave you this day as a gift. He went before you and prepared this day.
For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—
“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11
When you wake your child for the day, they trust that you are going to care for them. They have no doubt you will feed them, clothe them, help them, and be there for them. They put all of their trust into you. They don't expect you to give them a stone when they ask for food. They don't think you will move out of the way when they run into your arms. They fully trust you will care for them.
Who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, who are evil,
know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your
Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him.
Matthew 7:9-11
In the same way, God is our loving parent. He has already planned and prepared your day just for you. There may be trials. Trust God. You may get tired. Rest in God. You may face circumstances you didn't plan for. Lean on God. Friend, you can trust God with your day. He is already there.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding;
in all your ways know Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
It's time for Share A Link Wednesday! Each Wednesday we invite you to leave a link to your latest blog post in the comments. We still desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories.
We had our entire Spring planned, Jenifer— every intricate little detail. Then, God said, "Watch this!" I'm glad He's in control and I don't have to be!

I'm so thankful we can trust God, whatever a day may bring.

That is my favorite verse. Trusting in God is all that we can and need to do. I am thankful that He is in control. I wrote this week about teaching our children about racism, http://keepingthetiethatbinds.com/2020/06/17/racism-and-what-i-want-my-children-to-know/
ReplyDeleteSo very grateful He holds the plans for all my days.
