Today in our reading plan we are in Jeremiah 29. I love verse 11. We all know it. It reminds us that God’s plans for us are not to harm us, they are good and give us hope. Can we say the same for our own plans?
Sometimes we make plans and when they fall through we become angry or disappointed. But we don’t see the big picture. God does. Maybe that situation would have brought disaster and God was protecting us. Sometimes we don’t want to go where God wants us to go. But following His plan brings us a future.
Let’s be women who remember that His plans are far better than our own. His plans are for our good.
It's time for Share A Link Wednesday! Each Wednesday we invite you to leave a link to your latest blog post in the comments. We still desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories.
Yes, that is truly a special verse in my book too! And I also know how I make my own plans and then wonder what happened. I am so grateful that God is in charge, especially in this time that we are living in and through. What's hard for me is when I seek God as I make plans, so I feel I am following His guidance, and then plans are upended. But I have to trust He wanted me to learn something from it all or wanted to teach me something.

We make our little plans and God says, "Watch this!"

I think about all the plans we made back in the beginning of the year, and now we are whining and complaining because all those plans have gone out the window. We make plans but we forget to make God a part of those plans. I am praying this time will open our eyes to the fact that God is ultimately in control. ReplyDeleteIt is so true - we have to trust God's plans for our lives and remember they are always for our good.
