More than One

By:

Emily Miller

Sometimes, God can present us with more than one choice in life, all of which would wind up pleasing Him and His will.

Now, I know that may seem hard for some of us ladies here.

Sometimes it would just be nicer if God gave us a roadmap on what we are supposed to do.

Not only that but what we think and what we do are both two totally different ballplayers.

Yet, we have a ballplayer in our corner to help us gain the wisdom for discernment. This ballplayer is the Holy Spirit, part of the larger Trinity.

2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
-Colossians 2:2-3

Next time you feel as though you are presented with multiple choices that make you feel as though God is pulling you in multiple directions, stop, take a deep breath, and ask for wisdom from the One who makes everything clear.

Blessings,

Emily

  1. Thanks, Emily! This is one of my biggest struggles in the following life. God has given me a great wide playing field, and I'm always looking for fences.

  2. That's the hardest thing sometimes - choosing between several good options. I'm thankful for God's guidance.

  3. This is such a great point, Emily. I always feel like there is just one permissible path to take, but there are times that the Lord assures me that regardless which one of the available options I take, any of them will be pleasing to Him. I am so grateful for this affirmation. God bless you!

  4. This is such a good point. Sometimes I think the Lord helps me to develop wisdom in having to decide between two options. It is as I mull the options that I more clearly hear His voice and grow in confidence as well. Blessings!
