This is one of the passages I'll be using for my sermon on Sunday! The more I study and ponder these 2 verses, the more awestruck I am that God not only hears our pleas. He listens to them. It's so easy to hear what someone is saying but not 'listen' to what they are saying. God both hears and listens! Sometimes all we need is for someone to listen to us as we vent or pour out our hearts! Just knowing God hears and listens confirms what Peter says in 1 Peter 5:7 (CSB), that He cares! "7 ...he cares about you."
No matter what you're feeling today, know that God hears what you say and he listens when you speak to him.
