Sometimes we can easily make our lives all about ourselves. "I" want this and it's all about "me me me". We are too busy getting in our own way to realize, we need to step out of the way and let God take control. It seems like such an easy and simple thing to do, but sometimes it's not so easy. However, it is necessary. We must become less if we want more of God!
"He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth and speak earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else."
John 3:30-31
If Jesus is greater, than I know He can do much greater things than I ever could. He can take care of this tough situation better than I can. He can deal with those difficult people better than I ever could. We need to give all the glory to God in every situation, and just let God be God in our lives.
