"13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love."
1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT
"26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take
out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart."
Ezekiel 36:26 NLT
My devotion for today talked about love. Love is truly something needed in this world where hate runs so rampant! First Corinthians 13:13 tells us that love will last forever! Ezekiel 36:26 tells us that we have stony, stubborn hearts but God wants to give us a tender, loving heart! Love accomplishes so much more than hate or indifference!
Just like a dish of honey will draw more flies than one filled with vinegar, love will go so much farther than hate! Hate separates. Love brings together. Differences in personality and appearance and beliefs, etc is what makes this world so interesting. God created us DIFFERENT not the same. We need to embrace those differences and love one another the way He loves us!!!
How boring this world would be if we were all the same! Personally, I wouldn't want a world full of Debi's! I'm ok, but seriously...a whole world of ME! I think not! In fact, as much as I love my hubby, I wouldn't want a whole world of him, either!! We don't have to agree to accept one another. It's ok to be different, to think differently, to see things different! We need to learn to love those things about others.
You know, I think about the 1965 song, "What the World Needs Now." The message brought by that song is still relevant today. We need love in this world. Love can push hate out. Love can draw us together. God created each and every one of us to be different. He didn't want a world full of many bodies but 1 person. He wanted a diverse creation full of all personalities and color. Differences make the world go 'round.
Listen to the lyrics of the song, "What the World Needs Now." Read the verses above. Learn to love one another the way God loves us!!! Your days on this earth will be much more enjoyable with love!!!
Share the love of Christ and have a wonderful day!!!
