"7 But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. 8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by the long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit."

we will be firmly rooted in Him. And the more we seek His face and read His word the deeper our roots will go. In fact, they will grow so deep that the enemy won't be able to topple us! The enemy can and will send heat and drought our way trying to cause our roots to wither and weaken. But because we have made our hope and confidence in Him, we won't be bothered. And because we have trusted in God, our life will continue to bear fruit which is to draw others to Him!!
Just imagine your life as a tree, standing tall and rooted near a stream or water source. Imagine that you get stronger and taller with each prayer or reading of His word! Imagine you are so deeply rooted that every storm the enemy brings is nothing compared to your strength in Christ!! Lord, help me to be like this!
