Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.
A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.
Psalm 61 1-4 NKJV
These 4 verses say so much! It's an amazing prayer to the Father! The Psalmist is crying out to God to hear his prayer. He says 'attend to my prayer.' He's simply emphasizing that he wants God to listen to his prayer. He wants to make sure God hears how committed he is to Him. The Psalmist is emphatic! He is absolutely in love with the Lord and wants to be where He is.

This is my prayer! I want God to hear me just as David did! I want God to know that His presence overwhelms me; that I know He is my shelter. He is my protector from the enemy! I will ever rest in His presence!

It did speak to my heart, thanks! My mom was just diagnosed with colon cancer and we have a lot in front of us, so this verse is what I needed to hear.
