This past weekend our ladies from church went on a women's retreat. It was at this retreat that I heard for the first time a song that has simply been life changing to me. It isn't a new song and I only listen to Christian radio, but I had never heard the song before. The song brought a new revelation to me. It reaffirmed the love that my God has for me. In fact, upon arriving home, I looked up the song and we only sang a portion of it over the weekend. But what we sang resonated such love to my heart. Here is the part we sang:
You split the sea
So I could walk right through it
All my fears were drowned in perfect love
You rescued me
So I could stand and sing
I am child of God...
I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I'm no longer a slave to fear
As you read those words, can't you just feel freedom? Can't you just feel the chains of bondage, fear, defeat, depression, etc just falling off? If you can't then I'd challenge you to recite them over and over and over and over ... until you begin to believe them! Better yet, find a corner someplace, all by your self, and listen to the entire song as it is sung in worship to God.

Sister I understand this more than you know. Several years ago my granddaughter Mercie who was 3 at the time went through a very serious health scare that the LORD said to me " was about to turn my life upside down". He spoke to my heart and I couldn't uttercthosecwords to a soul I could only fall on my face and cry out for days... I didn't tell anyone anything about it until we got the all clear from the doctor. After the Lord had to given it to me and took mwcon a faith journey. Many prayers for you my friend! Keep looking straight ahead!!
