This past few weeks have been difficult.
I have been heartbroken over some recent events and I've prayed fervently for God to change them.
Tears have fallen like rain freely down my cheeks, as I've asked, no rather begged God to make the situation different.
I've done everything within my power to mold the situation into what I think it should be, and here's the thing.......I can't.
I'm not all powerful, all knowing, or capable of making my life perfect. None of us can do that.
When times like this happen, the most important thing I have to constantly remind myself is to calm down and let God, be God.
"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10a (NIV)
Even though the pain is at times more than what I think I can bare, I've found there is only one thing that can pull me out of the muck and the mire. That one thing is running straight into the arms of Jesus.
What about you friends? Are you carrying a heavy load? Does life seem overwhelming right now? If it does, I understand, we've all been there at one time or another.
When life's trials weigh you down till you fill empty within the pit of your soul, the only thing you can do friends, is give it to Jesus.
Pray without ceasing as you turn your eyes off of self and onto Him. If it takes doing it again and again, throughout the day, weeks and months, that's okay, God understands.
Please join me as we hand it over, let it go and surrender it to the King.
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)

Thank you for your post Shari. It truly is when we are Still before the Lord that He takes care of our situation. This is the most powerful position we could take on. I love that even in our Heartbreak He is there. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosie for stopping by.
