Last week we shared 4 super fun recipe videos from Berenstain Bears! Make sure you check out these recipes to do with your kids. They will love the yummy food and seeing the characters cook! We also had a contest and the winner gets to share her own recipe with us this week!
Shonda of Milk 'n Hone Learn and Grow was our wonderful winner and she has a delicious recipe to share that your family will love!
Raspberry Chocolate Walnut Baked Oatmeal
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 cup milk
2 T olive oil
2 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
3 mashed bananas
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. chocolate chips
3 T flax meal
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at
350 for 20-25 minutes. Cool. Cut into squares. This baked oatmeal should be
firm. To freeze- place cut squares on a large pan and put in freezer
overnight. Transfer to a Ziploc bag. Take out what you want to eat and let
thaw on the counter for an hour. Or thaw in microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute
depending on desired softness.
Adapted from Lynn's Kitchen Adventures basic baked oatmeal recipe.
