Valentine's Day is fast approaching. A day when many of us will have some special time with our mate. Normally my husband and I do not make a big deal about the holiday and instead make it a family fun day. But this year we are going to have a date night and I am so excited! It's been awhile since we've had a date and we were blessed with a gift card to a great restaurant. Plus, a really good movie is coming out and I cannot wait!
Am I talking about the new movie 50 Shades of Grey? NO!
I am talking about two incredible movies that portray relationship in a healthy way. The way God intended.
First up is Old Fashioned. Old Fashioned is a brand new movie about a chivalrous man of God, Clay Walsh. Clay meets Amber who is drawn to his faith. This movie reminds us that love is patient, love is kind and love can be old fashioned. Check out Old Fashioned and if this movie is playing in your area, make it a must see this weekend!

Next up is a movie that quickly became a favorite of mine, The Song. The Song is a movie based of the Song of Solomon. This movie is about a young couple who soon after marriage, face struggles with temptations of the world. The Song comes out on DVD this Tuesday (Feb. 10th). Pick up a copy for a stay at home date!
Ladies, movies like 50 Shades of Grey give us a false sense of what marriage, love and s*x really are. It blurs the lines of what the Bible tells us. I have taken a very firm stand against 50 Shades of Grey. But I am not going to write about why you should avoid the movie.
There are already some incredible articles by some fantastic writers that I'd love for you to check out. If you have even briefly considered seeing 50 Shades of Grey, read these articles! If you have also taken a firm stand against the movie, you should also read the articles so that you are informed and aware.

Say NO to 50 Shades of Grey and say YES to movies like Old Fashioned and The Song.
