"15 ...This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! … for the battle is
not
yours, but God’s…17 But you will not
even need to fight. Take your
positions; then stand still and watch the Lord's victory. He is with you,
O people of Judah and Jerusalem.
Do not be afraid or discouraged.
Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!"
2 Chronicles 20:15; 17
Last week I told you about a Bible Study we are doing in Church on Wednesday nights. It's on the 'names of God.' It is a wonderful study and I am glad to share with you. Knowing the different names of God help us to learn more about His character and love for us! The week we dug deeper into "El." The word 'El' means God of Power and Might; Strong One or Might One. It even carries the meaning of 'Hero!'

In verse 21, "21 After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to
walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and
praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: 'Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love
endures forever!'"
And I love the end of this little story...they people didn't have to fight...remember they just stood still as saw the victory of the Lord...when the battle was over, they were there to take the spoils. God gave them victory AND prizes. God truly is a Hero!!!
So, as you see a battle in front of you...know that the battle is not yours, but God's! Do what Jehoshaphat did...Fast, Pray, Rally for Support (seek Godly counsel), Praise and then Stand!

Take a few minutes and read 2 Chronicles 20:1-30 and see how mighty our God is!!!
Have a blessed day!
Amen! We don't need to fight, the battle is the Lord's!
