1 Thessalonians 5:24...The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

I’m not sure where the idea came
from, but at some point I became convinced that it was up to me to make
everything in my life happen. Perhaps it’s my “type A” personality or that I’m
a first-born…no matter the reason, I have a very difficult time letting go.http://smartermoms.wordpress.com/
Have you ever been in a situation that requires your full attention and energy? You become obsessed with the details, possible scenarios and outcome. IT becomes your life. IT becomes your purpose for waking each morning. IT takes all your focus.
Ladies, be honest. We’ve all had, or are currently experiencing, an IT. So what’s your IT? What worry, fear, person, regret, or new challenge is staring you in the face? NO matter what your IT is – our God has “IT” under control.
God doesn’t cause difficulties but we live in a fallen, sinful world and life happens. As women I truly believe each of us has a calling on our life. Whether you are fighting a battle, caring for your family or beginning a journey of unknowns – God is with you and “He is faithful”. We’ve been called to this place and this time.
Read the last 4 words from our scripture… “HE WILL DO IT”. Do you believe it?! If you do, you can claim that God will be your strength, your peace, your shelter, your joy, your companion. His faithfulness is greater than your need and He will help you conquer your IT. You don’t have to feel alone or afraid and you don’t have to allow your IT to define your faith.
My challenge to you is to write our 1 Thessalonians scripture on your mirror, put it on the lock screen of your phone – get it in front of your eyes as much as you can and let it become a promise you speak over your life and your situation. Let it become a constant reminder that you’ve been called by a faithful Creator, the God who made the heavens and earth. No matter what comes your way or what you’re called to conquer, claim the promise that “He will do it!”.
Last year I struggled with one of my most difficult "ITs" and a particular song plated a significant role in helping me survive and thrive the long days and nights. I hope you enjoy hearing Kari's heart and the song - it's a testimony for my life and faith.
· What is your “IT”?
· What are you facing and what do you need from your Heavenly Father?
· How can you help your friends and family survive when their season of “IT” hits?
· If you’ve recently dealt with an IT and seen God’s faithfulness, would you share your testimony and experiences with others? Your story brings encouragement to others and glory to God. Your transparency inspires others to trust God and that’s a beautiful gift.
Thank you for being a part of this community and for welcoming me into your life and spiritual growth - I can't wait to hear from you and grow with you!
Until next month...
HE WILL DO IT!!!!!
Kasey
Great word of encouragement Kasey! Thank you for sharing!
