Motherhood is a great responsibility. Have you ever wondered how you are going to raise this child entrusted to you? Not only do you have to teach your child their abc's and 123's but you have to teach them how to take care of themselves and a home, how to be a responsible human being and a vital part of a community and you have to train them in the ways of the Lord. That is a huge task. Sometimes I wonder what God was thinking when He made me a mom!
But God doesn't leave us alone. He is there with us, guiding us and showing us how to be a loving parent through His own great example. His Word is filled with truths that teach us how to raise a child. When we are tired we can cry out to Him and He hears. When we are unsure, we can cry out to Him and He hears. When we worry, fear, or feel unqualified, we can cry out to Him and He hears.
When motherhood seems overwhelming, turn to the greatest parent there is, God. He didn't give you a child and walk away. He is with you.
...Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.
Hebrews 13:5
