The idea of having a mentor can be overwhelming. To know that someone will know everything about you, the good and the bad, is scary. Will they judge you? Will the tell others your secrets? Will they look at you differently? Mentorship can be scary.
But it doesn't have to be.
Having a mentoring relationship with another woman of God is a beautiful thing. She has been where you are. She understands the struggles. While she is not perfect, she will be there to encourage you, walk with you and pray with you.

The beauty of having a mentor in your walk with God is having a sister and friend all rolled into one beautiful package and creating a life-long connection with her. As she invests into your life, your friendship will grow and deepen and become a relationship that you cherish. ~Living Out Titus 2

No matter how long you have been saved, three months or thirty years, we all need someone to look up to. This side of Heaven, we will never 'arrive.' There is always something new to learn and always room for growth. ~Living Out Titus 2Do you have a mentor in your life? Do you mentor someone? Jenifer, I love that quote from Living Titus 2! We will never "arrive"..so, so true. We all need someone in our lives for accountability and direction. I find myself giving these days more than being mentored myself and that is not good. I need a connection, one I have lost over the last few years. Thank you for this reminder. ♥
