"17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has
become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"
I think we've all probably heard this verse more than a time or two. As I read this verse again, I began to think about the old being gone and the new beginning. The implication is that there is a change that has taken place. That tells me that there should be a difference in us. Once we accept Christ into our heart we should be new. There should be an obvious difference in before Christ and after accepting Him. The problem I see is that so many times there is NO difference. Or, there is a difference but is it not a complete change.
Pardon me, but I don't think that God does things half-way. If He says there is a change once we belong to Him, then I think that change is a complete and total change. The old things in our life...ie: the things we do, the places we go, etc...should change. And perhaps that even means our friends change. It should be easy for those who know us to see that there is a difference in us.
That's my thought for this day. What are your thoughts on the subject?
Have a blessed day,
Amen!
