It is time to share our experiences and struggles with being a servant. Sharing these experiences and struggles help to encourage one another. Please comment below with your own experiences and struggles.
Debi, July has been a busy month. I have tried to be of service in all my walks. I am working on being available to those that have a need. While I know that never saying 'no' can be overwhelming, I am working on saying 'yes' a little more often. I want to be a pastor who serves her congregation and doesn't just preach serving. I am striving to put feet to my words. God has called me to serve and serve I will!
Shari, This month I was able serve in a variety of ways. First off, my mom was in the hospital for a week this month, and this brought about many opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus to her. From hours spent in the emergency room, to over night stays so she wasn't scared, to getting her blankets when she was cold. I was honored to do these things for her and show her how much I loved her. She's given so much of herself to me all the years I was growing up, it was the least I could do for her.
Another opportunity I had to serve was when my husband and I drove through a drive through and I suggested to my husband that we pay for the person behind us. The employee at the restaurant was surprised we did this and so was the person we paid for. The person behind us kept telling us thank you and that she would have to do that for somebody some day.
One little act, no matter how small can make a difference in the life of another. It can reach beyond that person and continue to grow and grow as it's paid forward. If you feel that nudge from God, don't hesitate to act, you'll be so glad you did.

Jenifer, "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also rep sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
