A Very Special Lady...

I am so thankful this week for the life of a very precious lady that loved Jesus and lived a life that exuded Him in all ways.  This week I attended the funeral her funeral.

I worked with her daughter and because of our friendship I had the privilege of meeting her.  It's a long story and I won't go in to it here but this daughter and her then boyfriend/now husband along with this dear woman are the reason I am a Christian today.  When I met Linda I was not a Christian but she was.  Unbeknownst to me, she and her family prayed for me and my husband.  They made us a part of their lives and their church even though we weren't Christians.  My husband played ball on the church team.  I was on the bowling team.  We went to 'outings' with the group from church.  We went to their home...Esther took us into her already large family and treated us as if we belonged.  She showed us through her actions what love really is.  As our children came along she became 'Gramma Esther' to them.  Gramma Esther and Grampa Gerry were Godly examples of love and devotion to my family.  Grampa Gerry was promoted to heaven 4 years ago but now they have been reunited.  I am sure that after Gramma Esther spent some time worshiping at the feet of Jesus, she found her honey and they rejoiced together to see what God has done in the
lives of those they invested in!

Gramma Esther...you will be missed on this earth but your legacy will go on forever.  I can never thank you for investing in me and loving me with a Godly love.  Enjoy heaven and if you see my Nanny...tell her I love her and I will see her again!

Take a few minutes today and reflect on those precious people that have invested in your life.

  3. What a wonderful tribute to a Godly life! Will we leave a legacy like Esther? Will people think, talk and remember the love we shared with them? what an inspiration! I'm so glad I found you. Cynthia
