When a person first meets you what do they see?
First impressions are everything.
Do they see the love of God radiating from your face?Do they see someone filled with the joy of the Lord? Do they see God at work in your life, no matter what circumstances your going through?
Or.....
Do they see someone who is depressed, fearful, and filled with worry? Do they hear constant complaints coming out of your mouth, or see Facebook status' that should be kept private? Do they see tear filled eyes, every time they meet you?
We need to remember that God calls us to be different. When we have the Holy Spirit living inside us, we can rely on His strength to get us through. Instead of hiding in the darkness, we need to shine His light for the world to see.
Don't forget the power of our God sisters. There is no need to fear, no need to complain, no need to doubt, no need to worry when we belong to God. Don't listen to the lies of this world. Trust in the one who is ruler above all.
Make a difference today for Jesus. Show others that your are EXCITED about being His child! Make the world want what you have. Smile, show the lost who your confidence rests in.
Make your first impressions count today for the King!

"Nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaves."

All for Him -
Unfortunately, I think we often forget that we are called to be ambassadors of Jesus - (I know I do!) And we must be reflections of Him - full of the Spirit's fruit. This is what I pray for...even if a shining reflection calls for some refining fire!
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!
Great encouragement Shari!
