Expectations...

This week we have seen the birth of a new 'future' prince.  The world has anxiously been waiting for this child to be born ever since Prince William and Kate said 'I do.'  Personally, I am waiting for my 9th grandchild to be born in September.  I've been waiting for this day since the birth of his brother 3 years ago.  I cannot wait to hold grandbaby #9 in my arms and smother him with kisses!

Waiting for the birth of a child is exciting to say the least.  But even as anxious as the world has been waiting for the birth of this new member of royalty and as excited as our family is waiting for the birth of our new baby...think of the excitement that the world had waiting for the birth of the Messiah!  And...think of the expectation we have today for the time when the Messiah will return to catch us away!

While I am thankful that the 'future' heir to the throne of England has arrived safely...and while I am trusting God that our little 'heir' will arrive safe & sound on the appointed day, I am ever more thankful that I can look to the heavens and know that one day, I will see my Lord and Savior in the clouds. 

I am so thankful and blessed to know I am an heir of the King.
