There are times in our lives when the storms rage and we don't know which way to turn. Times when we feel as if God has left us and were standing alone in the shadows.
Even though we may not be able to see Him, He is there, just waiting for us have faith in Him and the knowledge that He will see us through.
We can find a perfect example of this in Matthew 14:27-33,
But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “Why did you doubt?”And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Even though we may have to face the fear and anguish of life as it comes in downpours against our weary hearts there is always something beautiful waiting for us on the other side. He won't leave us friends, Jesus' hand is just waiting to carry us through. We need to take those thoughts of doubt captive and realize that the only thing we need is the Lord!
