I had planned the evening to be a continuation of my Sunday sermon on 'avoiding sleepwalking.' So I read 1 Thessalonians 5:4-8 and as we got to discussing this passage, the topic slowly turned to passion. I made the statement "Lack of passion keeps us from going to the uttermost part of the earth or even down the street to minister to a neighbor." It was from there that our entire time together was spent talking about how important passion is in our walk. We have to be passionate about the things that matter in our life. We have to be passionate about our marriage. We have to be passionate about our call from God. We have to be passionate about the things that matter in our life. If we are not passionate about our marriage, then our marriage becomes just a shell. If we are not passionate about the things of God, then those things don't drive us to do the work of God.
So, today I am thankful that God had a plan and my forgetting my lesson at home was part of His plan. It is apparent that He wanted our group to talk about passion last night. Thank you, Lord, for your every present involvement in my life. Thank you, Lord, that I didn't begin to fret at the knowledge that I had no lesson to give to the adults in church but that I trusted You and as always, You had a plan.
What are you thankful for today?
Have a blessed day!

God always has a plan and His plan is far better than ours!
