"And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them." ~ Isaiah 42:16
Our lives can change in seconds.......we can wake up in the morning with our preconceived plans all laid out for us, with our to do lists neatly made, and with one phone call....our worlds can turn completely upside down. All it takes is one phone call to change our lives forever. A call can bring the news of cancer, of near death experiences, of jobs lost, and of a family being uprooted. Have you ever been on the receiving end of one of those phone calls? I know I have....numerous times.
These phone calls can turn our worlds that contained familiarity and safety, to a dark and unknown place. The only way that we can remove the fear and unknown from these circumstances is through calling out to the Father. God's word says in Isaiah 65:24, “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear”. He knows what we need before we even ask for it; His love for us is unfailing.
God's word states that we are not to fear during these times, He did not create us to be that way. We can find these reassuring words in 2 Timothy 1:7, "for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control”. We have two choices in life when our world is rocked by unwanted change, we can choose to focus on the power, and self-control God has given us in these situations, as well as the joy and blessings in our life. We can also choose the second route of going down the pathway of fear and worry about what could be.
God wants us to choose Him! He wants us to have childlike, unwavering faith that He will take care of us, no matter what the circumstances. He wants us to rely on His word and know beyond the shadow of a doubt that he will....
"...lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.” ~ Isaiah 42:16
Dear friends.....give it all over to Him and let Him turn your darkness into light today.
Many Blessings~
