Wow!  I cannot believe we have made it to the end of our Love Dare series!  This series has been incredible.  I pray it has blessed you and your marriage in a beautiful way.

When we marry we enter into a covenant instead of a contract.  Though they sound much alike, they are different.  A contract is like saying to your spouse, "I take you for me and we'll see how this works out."  But realizing it as a covenant changes it to say, "I give myself to you and commit to this marriage for life." 

A contract is a written agreement based on distrust, outlining conditions and consequences.  Where as a covenant is a commitment based on trust, assuring someone that your promise is unconditional and good for life.

Marriage is the strongest of covenants on earth between two people.  It is a pledge of a man and a woman to establish a love that is unconditional and lifelong.  A covenant is not something you can do alone.  You need the help of God.

Every marriage is called to be an earthly picture of God's heavenly covenant with His church. It is to reveal to the world the glory and beauty of God;s unconditional love for us.

It is time friends.  Time to renew your covenant of love.  Time to be real and sincere.  Love is holy.  Love is beautiful.  

Dare to renew your love.

Dare to show your love.

Dare to cherish your spouse.

Dare to commit to your spouse.

Dare to take ahold of it and never let go.

Today's Dare:
Write out a renewal of your vows and place them in your home.  Perhaps, if appropriate, you could make arrangements to formally renew your wedding vows before a minister and with family present.  Make it a living testament to the value of marriage in God's eyes and the high honor of being one with your mate.
