"Being faithfully His is rooted in the kind of relationship we have with the Bible..."
What kind of relationship do you have with your Bible? Is it out in the open where your eye can catch it at all times of the day? Do you have it sitting on a shelf in a distance room collecting dust? Do you have it at all times within arms reach to read a few scriptures through-out the day when you need to hear from God? Do you have a set time and place you read it every day?
The Bible is God breathed, every single word in that Book is straight from God's heart, straight from His very lips directly to us...
We learn from it...
It refreshes us..
It calls out our deepest desire for a relationship with Him that's deep down inside of us.
God speaks to us through it.
It's meant to show us exactly who God is...
Yes, it also is meant to point out where we fall short and then draw us directly to Jesus who is strong in our weakness and who offers complete and total restoration in our disobedient hearts...
God's Word, the Bible is not meant to be seen as a chore, it brings life, it's Love, it's ALIVE and it's Truth.
Praying Scripture over our lives, claiming it's promises for ourselves and our family is SO powerful...amazing God breathed things happen when we claim God's promises for ourselves, when we claim His power and His strength in our own lives. This weekend begin praying the scriptures I'm about to give you, over yourself and your family and your friends and anyone else you may or may not know and see what kind of amazing things God begins to do...
"I love the Lord my God with my whole heart, soul and mind.." Mark 12:30
"I walk by faith, not by sight." 2nd Corinthians 5:7
The Lord is on my side. I will not fear what man can do to me." Psalm 118:6
I am competent not in my own abilities but because He has made me competent by His Spirit. 2nd Corinthians 3:5-6
I have the mind of Christ, therefore I act in a way that is consistent with His actions. 1 Corinthians 2:16
I abide in Christ, He abides in me and I bear much fruit. John 15:5
The Spirit indwells me; therefore I am the temple of the living God. 2nd Corinthians 6:16
Besides the Scriptures I've given here what are some other's you've come up with that you pray into your life and believe for you and your family?
