As I was reading the Bible this morning, I was reminded, once again, that we serve an amazing God.  We serve a God that love us so much.  I am currently reading in Isaiah.  Chapters 40 and 41 are two of my favorites. 

8 "But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, 9 I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you.  I said, 'You are my servant;' I have chosen you and have not rejected you.  10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  11 "All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.  12 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them.  Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all.  13For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.  14 Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 41:8-14

God has chosen us...we are His.  He is with us.  He will strengthen us.  He will uphold us.  He is our Lord.  He will help us.  How in the world can we not be thankful for this.  We are but dust yet God has chosen each of us to be His own.  Not one of us deserve to be held in the palm of His hand. 

Even when we don't feel like He is with us...He is.  When we are at the end of our rope...He is there, helping us to hold on to that last knot.  When we are disheartened and down...God is there to lift us up.  When we have enemies encamped around us...God is there.  We can rest assured that He is...just read Isaiah 40:31...we've all heard it a million times; we may even know it by heart.  "31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." 
 
I don't know about you, but I am so very thankful that God walks beside me taking care of me even when I don't deserve it.  All I have to do is love Him completely.  All I have to do is say His name...there is peace in His name.

    I can't imagine going through this life without Him by my side. I need Him to renew me. Great encouragement!

    Thank you for the great encouragement, we all need this from time to time. As you said He is with us even when we don't feel like He is, just start praising Him and you will feel His presence. What a wonderful and mighty God we belong to and serve.

    Jenifer you said you can't imagine going through life without Christ. So very true like when you have so much heartache but you sometimes think things like is God really there but he is and has been there for me. Yes this verse has been quoted many times but I do need to be reminded of it many times. When I finished reading this I felt like doing a Jericho march! Thank you God for your strength.
