Easy Cheese Ball

The holiday season is upon us and that means Christmas celebrations.  Whether you are hosting or attending, everyone is looking for an easy recipe to make and share.  I love cheese balls.  I don't know why, but there is something appealing to me about a ball of cheese covered in nuts. (smiles)  This is an easy recipe I found a few years ago, so I wanted to share it with you all - in case you love balls of nut covered cheese as much as I do. 

Easy Cheese Ball

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
2 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

In a medium size bowl, mash cream cheese.  Mix dressing and Cheddar cheese into the cream cheese.  Shape the mixture into a ball.  Roll the ball in the chopped nuts.  Refrigerate covered until ready to serve.  Yum!
