Jesus tells us not to worry about things that will perish;
things that bring temporary satisfaction.
Don't be so concerned about perishable things like food.
Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you.
John 6:27
So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or
'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
Matthew 6:31
Instead, He tells us to focus on the eternal.
Only He can truly satisfy.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33
"I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again.
Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
John 6:35
We are to model our lives after His.
Jesus sought only to do the will of His Father.
For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God
who sent me, not to do my own will.
John 6:38
What is the Father's will?
For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son
and believe in him should have eternal life.
I will raise them up at the last day.
John 6:40
How did the Father prove His love?
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.
John 15:35
Amen! Only He truly satisfies! I'm pulling up my chair next to His banquet table and digging in!
